in bed with friends

"the standard" in downtown, with funny dressed waiters, funky waterbed kiosks, and an amazing panorama of the building texture, that place is the coolest club i've ever seen..

fake fact

love the power of fake! this ordinary no job, no woman high as a fly dude here (saw him!), makes some money over the boulevard, taking a break when he feels like, posing at other times. life is good!

private house building in venice boardwalk

i just can't get over frank gehry. i literally have nothing to say about his non-sense?! designs, i just wonder, just wonder how persuasive a person can be to get through with this and make a living. please recognize that there's an admiration in that sentence..

these are legendary dogtown skates, which jay adams, stacy peralta and tony alva from the zephyr skate team used to skate with. they are displayed at the surf shop which used to be the zephyr skate shop - skip engblom's shop, founder of the team- at the corner of main & bay streets in Venice.
if you're interested with the freestyle skating or just periodic movies, you can see the history through stacy peralta's two films, which one he wrote (lords of dogtown) and one he directed (dogtown and the z-boys).

morrison mural in venice

a sentimental move from the artist Rip Cronk, this is Jim Morrison mural, in Venice. I think, we should remember another artist, Oliver Stone at this point with his movie, The Doors.

venice, if living here is not possible, then one may try dying here..

with its bums and sluts, stoners and hippies, body builders and skaters, couples and loners, bikers and surfers, it just feels right, it feels real..
